Since its launch in 1962, Winstrol (Stanozolol) has been one of the most popular anabolic steroids in bodybuilding. In medicine, Winstrol was initially defined as an appetite stimulant and musculobuilding agent for patients with both malignant and non-malignant diseases, osteoporosis and trauma. Later, it was used for the elderly to reduce weakness and those with dwarfism because it has a stimulating effect on the pituitary gland.
However, in the 1970s, due to the extensive use of Winstrol, its side effects became more widely known and it was classified as a controlled substance. Nevertheless, it remains an FDA-approved drug for the treatment of hereditary angioedema because it can increase C1 esterase inhibitors (C1INH) and C4 protein whites. However, the patient was placed at the lowest possible effective dose, which indicates the toxicity of Winstrol.
The characteristics of Winstrol in bodybuilding
Muscle building
Although Winstrol is mainly used for fat loss, its anabolic effect and ability to increase lean meat mass should not be underestimated.
According to relevant research, even if users are in a state of calorie deficiency, they gain 10 to 15 pounds of muscle when using Winstrol for the first time. This effective form of exogenous testosterone helps users combat muscle-building/fat-burning cycle strategies by simultaneously exercising muscles and burning fat.
Therefore, some users may not use Winstrol for fat loss but for increasing the lean body mass cycle. Therefore, if someone does not want to add too much hypertrophy, they can use Winstrol instead of music-building steroids such as Dianabol, Anadrol or testosterone.
Fat loss
The main benefit of Winstrol is the reduction of subcutaneous fat, so it is a popular cutting steroid. Winstrol can also cause water loss (because it does not aromatize), and thus has a drying/diuretic effect.
The reduction of fat and extracellular fluid will both promote clearer blood vessels and a more distinct constitution.
How much fat a user loses will depend on their diet, training and dosage. However, based on our experience, people who frequently consume at a 500-calorie deficit and take a moderate dose of Winstrol (20 mg/day) can expect to burn approximately 6-8% of their body fat over a 5-week cycle.
Increase strength
Winstrol significantly increases strength because the levels of protein synthesis and nitrogen retention within muscle cells are higher.
As Winstrol depletes the intracellular water level, we found that it is not the most effective AAS for enhancing intensity. This is due to the reduced production level of adenosine triphosphate, a protein molecule that is crucial for energy, within muscle cells.
The bodybuilders we care for, who are relatively new to anabolic steroids, have reported adding 15-20 pounds in their large compound weightlifting on Winstrol. This is a dramatic increase, considering that most bodybuilders are in a calorie deficit when taking this steroid, and thus it is designed to maintain their strength.
